Throughout 2016, Hippo Motor Group will be supporting many local charities within the Northwest, by raising money and awareness. One of the first charities of the year we’ll be working with is the charity Spacious Place.
Who are Spacious Place?
Spacious Place are an innovative social enterprise, specialising in engagement with the most vulnerable of people, providing stability and support. Spacious Place operates mainly in the North West, with several different venues throughout East Lancashire and Preston, and a recent move into Manchester. With strong ties to the community, the Spacious Place was founded to help individuals to move from a place of restriction, to one of hope and opportunity.
The people at Spacious Place believe that every journey begins with a single step, and they are committed to their main aim of helping individuals make that first and most difficult step. They continue to support these individuals, who may be in a negative place due to personal circumstances, self-doubt or poor life choices.
How do they accomplish this?
Spacious Place accomplish their goals through providing hope and opportunity, whilst also focusing on the strength and resilience of all individuals in need of help. They also encourage interdependence and empowerment, which helps in strengthening the community too.

Street Soccer Academy
A personal development programme in Accrington and Burnley, where men with multiple and complex needs can use football to engage.
Home Delivered Food Bank
Dedicated to helping people out in a time of real need, Spacious Place delivers food to the homes of thousands of vulnerable locals.
RePaint
Through the RePaint scheme, money is raised for the Spacious Place charity, whilst also assisting the vulnerable. Usable and leftover paint is redistributed to the community.
How is Hippo Motor Group helping?
In order to raise money and awareness for the charity, Hippo Motor group will be donating a set amount of money for every vehicle that is sold. The scheme will be in place from January through until the end of March.
