At Hippo, we love getting the chance to attend as many business expos as possible. These are a great opportunity for us to get out into the public, chat with customers, and connect with businesses from around Lancashire. We attended two expos this month, the Lancashire Business Expo and Expo Northwest.
The Lancashire Business Expo (#LBE2016) was held again this year, at the Guild Hall in Preston. Over 2000 visitors were there in the day, with 160 businesses and exhibitors showcasing their companies from across Lancashire. There was a huge variety of business sectors attending on the day, from digital marketing and printing solutions to solicitors and recruitment agencies. The business stands were spread out across two floors, and our very own stand was located on the first floor. With plenty of creative seminars and workshops throughout the day, we had a superb time, and managed to help loads of people with car finance question and car leasing queries. So we’ll definitely be back next year for LBE2017! Our second outing was the Expo Northwest event, which was hosted at Turf Moor. It was great to be back at Turf Moor again, and we saw a lot of familiar faces from previous events which have been held there. Throughout the day there was plenty of opportunity for networking in the dedicated networking area, and lots of talks and seminars from a strong line-up of presenters. Overall, the event was a huge success and we’re looking forward to going back soon!Throughout both events, we decided to run a small competition to win a bottle of bubbly and one of our cute Hugo Hippo teddies! We invited businesses and customers to leave us a business card, before then choosing one at random for our winner. The winner from the first expo draw was BNI [@BNIOnline] and the winner from the second was Forbes Solicitors [@ForbesSolicitor]. Congratulations to both!
Both expo days had a fantastic atmosphere and were really buzzing! It was a great opportunity for us to meet hundreds of people, promote our business and connect face-to-face with customers and companies we may not have had the chance to meet otherwise. We’ll be attending more expos throughout the year, so watch this space for more photos and prizes from our future events!
