This weekend, Hippo Motor Group attended the annual Butterfly Ball, supporting the Prince’s Trust. In 2016, the Butterfly Ball raised over fifty thousand pounds for the Prince’s Trust and has amassed over £250,000 since its formation in 2011. We hope that this year, even more money has been raised for this amazing cause.
The event took place at the beautiful Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa in Clayton Le Moors. Over 300 guests attended, dressed in their best dinner suits and gowns ready to enjoy a night of entertainment, great food and the chance to help a worthy cause.
The ball started at 6:30 PM with a champagne reception and continued throughout the night to 2 AM. Guests arrived at the 700-year-old country manor and were greeted by a McLaren 570S and a Land Rover Discovery, supplied by Hippo Prestige.
The guests, including a tableful of Hippo Motor Group staff and guests, sat down and enjoyed a delicious three-course meal including Carrot & Coriander soup followed by beef with dauphinoise potatoes and took part in the Prince’s Trust charity auction. There were some amazing items on offer, including a Michelin Star chef who would come to your house and cook for you and nine guests. Whilst this was happening, there was entertaining from the amazing Barbara Dickson, Face of Disco and Fleur East, closed the main part of the show before a disco followed with live pop music performed by Storm International Band.
The Prince’s Trust was founded in 1976 by Charles, Prince of Wales, with the aim of helping young people. The charity runs training programmes, provides financial grants and mentor support to ensure young people in the UK have the best chance in life. Since it was founded, the Prince’s Trust has helped over 825,000 young people turn their lives around. This includes giving business support to 395,000 people and creating an impressive 125,000 entrepreneurs.
The Butterfly Ball has been an annual event every year since 2011 and continues to raise amazing amounts of money for the Trust. The money raised in March this year will go towards helping the Prince’s Trust continue its important work and we look forward to seeing the Trust progress thanks to the funds raised by all those who attended the Ball.
