Hippo Motor Group has been nominated for the prestigious Retail Business Award at the Red Rose Awards. The event is taking place at the beautiful Empress Ballroom at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens, on Thursday, 9th March. It begins at 6 PM and carries on well into the night. There is also a great After After Party with Genting Casinos.
Our staff will be dressed up in their most glamorous black tie outfits, ready to enjoy a delicious dinner and the after party. Hippo is up against the likes of the Chorley Group, Crafty Vintage, Nigel Clare, Riley’s Butchers, and The Mall Blackburn. Stiff competition and any of us could deservedly win.
Antony Anderson, marketing manager at Hippo Motor Group, said: “We’re delighted to have been recognised for the hard work we’ve put in over the last 10 years and we hope that our plans for the next 12-18 months will further add to our growing reputation throughout the UK as a fantastic family retail business”
With our showroom based in Blackburn, we are readily accessible for those in the county to visit us and check out the cars we have on offer, including some of the world’s most prestigious supercars and prestige cars. They can also get their vehicles serviced at our state of the art preparation centre and body shop.
The Red Rose Awards was launched in 2011 by Lancashire Business View. The aim was to celebrate Lancashire businesses and industries that promote success and encourage trade throughout Lancashire. This will be the Award’s sixth successful year running.
There are 25 categories altogether and 6 finalists in each category. Each of the 150 finalists, including Hippo, had to go through a rigorous interview and presentation stage across two judging days, taking place in the Red Rose Suite at Blackburn Rovers. The entire process took place with over seventy judges. There were made up of the sponsors, independent experts and business leaders, judging the entrants and deciding the winners. The results will all be revealed on Thursday night.
The University of Central Lancashire’s Director of Innovation and Enterprise and Red Rose Awards’ judging partner, Dr John Lonsdale had this to say with regards to the awards: “Following last year’s strong entries it is great to see those standards being maintained, with another great crop of businesses showing what they can do. Judging has been a real challenge.
“It is inspiring to see Lancashire businesses growing, creating jobs and innovating across the county. The Awards evening is sure to be a great event for all concerned.”
We wish everyone luck this Thursday night and we hope we come home with the award.
